We are proud to announce that as a step towards building an Innovation Ecosystem in NER, KIIT-TBI BRTC under the Initiative "MAPPING THE CHANGEMAKERS OF NER" is trying to identify young researchers having the zeal to ignite, innovate and inspire in a translational scientific temperament and build a strong platform for networking, cross-talk, and collaboration.
BRTC invites innovative ideas in the field of life sciences having the potential for commercialization
Who can apply?
Indian citizens from the Northeastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura).
- Category 1: Master Students (Pursuing/Completed)
- Category 2: PhD Scholars and Post Doctoral Fellows (Pursuing/Completed)
- Category 3: Faculties / Scientists
- Category 4: Startup Companies less than 5 years old
Requirement:
- A short summary of your innovative idea (500 max; do not disclose technical details). [Short Title; background; main findings of your work; Novelty; biological significance/commercialization potential of the work
- An accompanying icon image related to your work. This will be displayed alongside the summary
- Brief Professional Profile (Including Qualification, Professional Experience, Research Interest, Current Research Project(s) and awards) of the Project Investigator/Coordinator [The document should be in third person]
- If applying as a startup, brief company profile.
- A Short Biography and Photograph of the Applicant or Team.

- 100 best entries from each entry will get a Certificate of Appreciation besides getting their profile published/projected on BRTC website.
- The first, second and third prize for each category includes an award of Rs 10,000, Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 each respectively.
- Besides, all the selected participants will get early continual updates of innovative grants, mentoring sessions and immersion programs support from KIIT-TBI.
